Privacy policy

This policy covers the personal assistant software published by Jan Kozák, Galvani, Prague, contact galvani78@gmail.com, which connects to a Google account through Google sign-in. It also covers this website.

What the assistant is

The assistant is software that a person installs and runs on their own computer. It has no hosted service, no shared server and no accounts of its own. Everything it reads or produces stays on the machine where it runs, under the control of the person who runs it.

Google data

With the user's consent the assistant reads mail through the Gmail API, calendar events through the Google Calendar API, and photos the user explicitly picks through the Google Photos Picker API. All access is read-only. The data is used only to answer the user's own questions, build a local index of their own correspondence and events, and show what they asked to see. It is stored locally on the user's device, is never sent to the publisher or to any third party, and is never used for advertising, profiling or training models offered to others. OAuth tokens are kept locally and can be revoked at any time in the user's Google account settings; the local data can be deleted by removing the assistant's data directory.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website

galvani.pro uses Google Analytics to count visits, loaded only after you accept it in the consent banner and with IP anonymisation; declining stores only that choice in your browser. The site uses no advertising tools. A message sent through the contact form is stored with the name, e-mail address, company and phone number entered, the time of sending and the sender's IP address, which serves only to limit repeated submissions. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the request in the browser under Cloudflare's own terms. A résumé shared through a personal link records each visit with the time, IP address, browser identification and referring page so the owner can see whether it was read. Messages are kept while the enquiry is handled and deleted on request.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to the contact above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
